Bill is recognized as one of the "BEST TEACHERS IN FLORIDA" by Golf Digest. Bill is truly a "teaching professional". He left a position as a Club Professional in 1975 and has spent the last 30+ years honing his skills as a teacher of the golf swing. Bill has worked with PGA and LPGA touring professionals, mini tour players, club champions and tens of thousands of amateurs of all skill levels around the world. Bill has developed an international reputation for improving golfers’ games by emphasizing Putting, Wedge and Driver techniques. Through his many years of teaching and helping golfers improve their games, he has become a nationally recognized, credentialed instructor.
GOLF Magazine has annually selected Bill as one of the "Top 100 Teachers in America." Bill is a PGA Master Teaching Professional, a multiple PGA Section "Teacher of the Year" award winner and has attended and directed teaching and coaching summits, teacher workshops, clinics and seminars and other golf instruction programs offered by the PGA for the last 25 years. He has spoken at international PGA Teaching Conferences and has given countless clinics and seminars for fellow PGA golf professionals. The Bill Madonna Golf Academy (BMGA) is located at the Orlando Marriott World Center in Orlando, Florida. He has an on-going training program for assistants working at the facilities and continues to support teacher training for the PGA of America. Bill founded the Spirit of Golf Foundation (SGF), a nonprofit organization dedicated to training those who impact golf’s future. SGF provides training and educational materials to scholastic golf coaches, Physical Education teachers and youth counselors around the world.

The ImmelBar is a 3.5 pound weighted swing trainer with a leather grip and black foam pads for physical conditioning drills. Using the ImmelBar correctly builds power, resistance, release and extension. The user will sense a feeling of the club falling from the end of their backswing into the beginning of their downswing. In the correct golf swing, the forearm rotation should not be a conscious event. This rollout of the arms will feel natural with the ImmelBar. The weight of the club during the downswing encourages a powerful arm swing and body turn through the ball, eliminating the “hit impulse.”
Why do you need an ImmelBar?
When golfers first begin swinging the golf club at higher speeds and in bigger arcs without first attaining a certain level of fundamental correctness, they develop a "condition" - or manner of executing the golf swing. In a very short time, this "condition" becomes the mental and physical means (perception and execution) of how they think and feel they should strike the ball. Students present these various "conditions" to their instructors during lessons. The qualified instructor will tell them that these "conditions" cannot be overcome simply by hitting balls. The students must be "reconditioned" through drills and exercises accompanied with problem related training aids. Used properly, the ImmelBar will address every needed action required to make a correct golf swing.

Madonna is a recipient of the PGA North Florida Section "Teacher of the Year" Award and is founder of The National Association for Golf Coaches and Educators.
Books authored by Mr. Madonna include “The Four Absolutes,” “The Complete Golfer” and “Coaching Golf Successfully.” His students have included: US Open Champion Lou Graham; PGA tour player Jerry Heard; Mini tour player Jeff Anderson, Jr.; LPGA Nancy Henderson; Nadine Ash and Amy Benz.
Bill Madonna’s School of Golf is currently based at the 18-hole championship Hawk's Landing Golf Club at the Marriot World Center Resort. The par 72 course and practice facilities are right outside the lobby of this Marriott flagship property, the 2,000-room Orlando World Center Marriott Resort and Convention Center.
