Event Description
Learn about how WWII impacted Florida, not only its soldiers, but also its citizens and its landscape. Hear the thrilling story of Nazi saboteurs captured near Jacksonville, and the 55 raids made by FBI agents in the West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale areas. Find out about German prisoners of war in Florida, U-boat attacks along the Florida coast, Floridians who perished at Pearl Harbor, and bombs that fell on a Northwest Florida city. Eliot Kleinberg, a Florida native and graduate of the University of Florida, writes for The Palm Beach Post in West Palm Beach and has written 10 books about Florida. Followed by book signing. Free.
