Causes of disc problems is often misdiagnosed by the medical community, regardless of whether it is a bulge, a herniation, a prolapse, a protrusion, etc... 2) Studies were done, where they took 1,000 people who had absolutely no back pain at all. They did MRI’s on these 1,000 people. In 50% of these people – they found “bad discs”!!! Point is: disc problems are not the root cause of low back pain or neck pain. Usually – it is related to spinal problems.

The medical doctors push a bunch of pills at you that only mask the symptoms temporarily. Or they offer cortisone injections which also are temporarily and also have side effects like medications.
Physical therapy – while all natural, offers very little success with back or neck pain of any kind. And the worst option… back or neck surgery!
Let me give you my biased opinion: if you hear an offer of back or neck surgery… run!!
Now let’s talk facts: the American Orthopedic Association is on record, stating that 7 out of 10 back & neck surgeries FAIL!
While it is admirable that they admit to such a high failure rate… the numbers are more realistically at a back surgery fail rate of 9 out of 10! And neck surgeries fail 8.5 out of 10 times!
Those are not good odds – right? They even have a term for it in the medical dictionaries: “Failed Back Surgery” and “Failed Neck Surgery”.

So what to do? Although the medical community has yet to find a definitive cause of disc problems – medical research shows the 80-90% of all disc issue pain sufferers have had past spinal injuries and that the spine & vertebrae are involved somehow.
The problem remains, the while MD’s typically want to mask the symptoms with drugs and medications… if the root cause of the problem (spine & vertebrae) is not resolved, back & neck pain will remain a problem.
