This was in the countryside outside of Ithaca New York. It was October last year and the colors WERE beautiful. That day I had the sunroof open on the jag and we just drove around. The yellow and orange leaves were raining from the sky by the thousands that day... I ended up with the back seat covered in them.

I'm hoping to buy a house in Ithaca in a couple of years.... it is a very cool town. More PhD's in Ithaca (per capita) than any city in the US and it is still small there as it is at the south end of the finger lakes area, the 2nd largest wine making area in the country.

Cornell University is there, the Dali Lama is building a second home and temple there and spends a lot of time in Ithaca, and there are TONS of waterfalls and gorges ... even running right through the center of town and Cornell's campus.

Watkins Glen is not far from Ithaca and Ithaca sets at the South end of Cayuga Lake... so there is boating and fishing. "Ithaca is gorges" as they say.
