Join us in the historic 1927 courtroom for a re-creation of the closing arguments and jury deliberation in the famous novel, “To Kill a Mockingbird.” Hear attorneys Roger B. Handberg and James W. Smith III present the closing arguments for each side of the case and decide for yourself whether Atticus Finch was justly defeated in the trial for Tom Robinson’s innocence. Revisit the controversial themes brought to light in the novel and attempt to answer difficult questions about race and equal justice. 6 p.m. cocktails and hors d’oeuvres; 7 p.m. program. Members $10; non-members $20. First 50 educators to R.S.V.P. are free. Call to reserve your place.
