Connect to Oktoberfest and Party for a Cause
Babies, so tiny they can fit in the palm of your hand will get a second chance at life because of outreach efforts by people who care. Variety the Children’s Charity of Florida is hosting an Oktoberfest to raise funds for the Alexander Center for Neonatology at Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies.
Join other merrymakers who will feast on brats, German potato salad, and a variety of German dishes, including desserts, beer and wine. You may also seek physic readings from fortune tellers Monnie and Bill to enlighten your spirits that evening. This traditional German celebration is October 19th at the Civic Center in Maitland. Meet up with friends and leave your troubles at the door while raising money for children. Take part in the live auction, raffle items, and door prizes.
Variety, The Children’s Charity of Florida is a not-for-profit organization that takes pride in providing programs and services to special-needs and disadvantaged children. Tickets for Oktoberfest are thirty-five dollars ($35)/Table of 10 ($350). The party starts at 6:30pm until 10pm at the Maitland Civic Center, located at 641 S. Maitland Ave., in Maitland. Casual business attire is preferred, but the only real requirement is that you have fun.
