For the past two decades, the quiet manatee has been a flash point of frequent debates between environmentalists, biologists, developers, boaters, citizens, lawyers, and politicians. Join author Craig Pittman for a lively conversation and discuss the controversy surrounding the manatee in his non-fiction book “Manatee Insanity: Inside the War Over Florida’s Most Famous Endangered Species.” 2-4 p.m. Free.
