Through his many years of teaching and helping golfers improve their games, he has become a respected and highly credentialed instructor. Sure Shots!

"Sure Shots" are easy-to-remember references to major areas of instruction. They can be used when practicing or during a round of golf. When playing golf, it is always much better to have a simple thought to get your swing on track rather than thinking through volumes of ideas and fixes that serve only to confuse you even further.

You can use these small references to better shot making without too much “junk” on your mind. Obviously, these bits of golf information need to be absorbed over a long period of time to prevent “analysis from paralysis.”

  • There is no place for anger in golf.

Getting upset only gets in the way of progress. Having a little “fire in your belly” is fine,                   however, letting it become a “fiery storm” gains nothing. Time and time again, even touring professionals have to “keep it cool” when things are not working. Once you have a clear understanding of what is required to make the correct swing, you will not get “mad,” you’ll just go to the next shot knowing exactly what happened and try to execute what you know is right once again.

  • Golf is only a game. If you can't enjoy it...quit!

Enjoyment level is relative. Breaking a score of 100 would be fantastic for some. Others have their sights set on breaking 90, then 80 or lower. The quickest route to enjoyment is achieving the capability of reasonable-to-good contact and relative control over direction. IT IS NEITHER FUN NOR ENJOYABLE TO JUST HACK AROUND THE GOLF COURSE. These two skills (contact and direction) are easily learned from a competent instructor.

  • Slow motion swinging is an excellent drill.

There are three major physical activities occurring simultaneously when you swing a golf club. The body is rotating, the weight is transferring and the arms are swinging. A golfer’s job is to blend, coordinate and sequence these activities. By swinging in slow motion, the golfer can sense each of these activities and better feel the timing of these activities.
