Walk for the Cure-Team Linda

Together we can stop diabetes. One Step at a Time.

I am walking and raising funds for the American Diabetes Association’s signature fundraising walk, Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes. As you may know, my sister Linda Bellamy had diabetes and struggled for many years with insulin and other related illnesses, but she was one of the lucky ones to recieve a transplant of a Pancreas and Kidney. This transplant was succesful and Linda survived four years with it. But on Decemeber 16th, 2003 her body rejected the transplant and she passed away. Since that day, it was my mission to give back in her name and do whaterver I could to raise funds to support Diabetes. With this, my family and I will be taking part in the American Diabetes One Step Walk-a-Thon on November 14th. Every step I take and every dollar I raise will make a difference in the lives of 23.6 million Americans living with diabetes. By making a donation on my behalf, you will be helping the Association provide community-based education programs, protect the rights of people with diabetes and fund critical research for a cure.

No matter how small or large, your generous donation will help us stop diabetes.


I will be taking the 5k Walk this Saturday for Diabetes.
