Event Description
Visit the inside of the History Center’s Pioneer Cracker Home and get to know how Central Florida’s pioneers lived. Test a mattress stuffed with Spanish moss and discover the origin of the phrase, “Don’t let the bed bugs bite.” Learn some 19th century recipes that were cooked in a fireplace. “Churn” butter, relax in a rocking chair, and build a pioneer family “log cabin.” 1-3 p.m. Free for adults; $5 per child ages 12 and under, must be accompanied by an adult.
