This event is a fundraiser and adoption event for local non-profit Central Florida animal rescues. Forty rescue groups will showcase adoptable dogs and cats at this event. Over 50 vendors representing dog/cat services such as boarding, grooming, day care, pet sitting and pet food manufacturers will be in attendance. Non-pet related vendors will also be attending and supporting the event. Educational classes, music, food trucks and kid zone. All donations are tax deductible and all net proceeds are shared equally by the participating rescue groups. Please consider sponsoring a booth or making a donation to help support the important work that these groups do.

The Urban Pet Project, a non-profit organization that provides life saving relief to animal rescues, is proud to present Pookie’s Pet Nutrition’s 5th Annual Winter RescueFest and Adoption Day. This event is a fundraiser for Local Non-Profit Animal Rescue Groups.
Pookie’s 5th Annual Winter RescueFest fundraiser and adoption day to benefit local non-profit animal rescue groups will be January 26th, 2013. RescueFest is primarily a fundraiser for our local non-profit rescue groups who work tirelessly under difficult financial conditions. Animals being abandoned and turned in to local shelters continue to be at an all-time high due to current economic conditions, and this event seeks to increase awareness and promote the adoption of homeless pets. This year’s event will feature 40 breed specific and other local rescue groups.
We are excited to announce that this year’s event will again be held in Maitland, Fl at Lake Lily Park and the adjoining Maitland Civic Center. The event runs from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. It is a fun, festival type atmosphere and proceeds from raffled gift baskets and grab bags and donations will be distributed to the participating rescue groups. The raffle proceeds are the primary fundraising mechanism and we need your support. You benefit by winning great prizes and having a fun day out in a beautiful setting. Over 70 vendors representing pet services including pet trainers, pet sitters, pet communicators, pet boarding and veterinarians will be on site to provide information. Natural food and supplement companies’ representatives will also be available to share educational information on pet nutrition. Activities include educational seminars, Kids Zone and playground area, live musical entertainment and a food truck court. A fun-filled day for the whole family!
