The prestigious Albin Polasek Museum and Sculpture Gardens will host the opening reception for Douglas Nesbitt's solo exhibition, “My camera speaks for me.”
This retrospective exhibition of 30 photographs represents the most potent images of photographer Douglas Nesbitt. He captures the human condition and the world around us in this thought-provoking one-man-show featuring works chosen by the artist.
A photographer without a specialty, Nesbitt considers himself to be a “journeyman with a camera.” Crossing all photographic boundaries, his images are found in advertising, architecture, portraiture, fine art and photo journalism. Douglas Nesbitt’s photographs are powerful compositions that speak to the viewer because every element – patterns in the background, signs in the corner, the angle of a face – add something to the narrative of the photograph.

The event is free and Complimentary valet parking will also be available for all guests.
A large turnout for this event is anticipated so you DO need to R.S.V.P. - asap!
Wine will also be served. If you have never been to the Polasek it sits on 4 magnificently landscaped acres on Lake Osceola in Winter Park with the sculptures of Albin Polasek scattered throughout. This will be an awesome event to spend a Sunday afternoon with a new date, significant other, or with a group of friends admiring art, indulging in stimulants for all the senses.
NOTE: Don't be confused by the address. Osceola is the same street as Fairbanks Ave and Aloma Ave. You know we wacky Floridians... we like to give the same street multiple names, just for fun.
