Cattle Barons’ Ball in Lake & Sumter county set for Saturday, February 19, 2011


Leesburg, Fla. (May 2010) – Put on your cowboy boots and hat, saddle up and get ready to lasso up a good time for a good cause! The Lake Sumter Unit of the American Cancer Society announces the arrival of its premier event, the ninth annual Cattle Barons’ Ball on Saturday, February 19, 2011, at 6 pm at the beautiful Bella Collina Club in Montverde, featuring food, games, dancing, entertainment, auctions and much more!

“We’re really excited about how things are coming together. We’re going to have some terrific entertainment, fabulous food and great auction items”, said Dr. Robin Revis-Pyke, from Montverde Academy and chair of the Cattle Barons’ Ball committee. “Everyone’s guaranteed to have a good time!” Event vice-chair Mandy Wettstein of That Company, agrees adding that sponsorships, tables and tickets should be reserved early; space is at a premium. Cattle Barons’ Ball 2011 at beautiful Bella Collina is the place to be in February!

In addition to gaming, there will be a romantic horse drawn carriage for one couple or many. Silent and live auctions will be held with many terrific prizes including getaways, sporting events and high-end gift baskets. This year, guests will enjoy a variety of tasty vittles from area restaurants.

The 2011 Lake Sumter Cattle Barons’ Ball hopes to raise over $134,000 at this year’s event. Every dollar raised by the American Cancer Society is invested in the fight against cancer. The money raised is central to supporting the ACS mission, which aims to focus its efforts in four main areas: research, education, advocacy, and service.
